Freeman Chautauqua/Old-Fashioned Saturday Night

Mid-Late Summer

Something new from something old – the perfect fit for Freeman!

For the first time in 2017, history met modern natural splendor – modern entertainment, heritage, and education came together in the most focal point of history, community, and culture around – Freeman, South Dakota! Taking place in the summer, this event is a place for prominent speakers, entertainment, and subjects of dialogue to come together "under the big tent" in Freeman's Prairie Arboretum. From biotech to bees, with music and fun in the evening - this event is a true blast!

In 2017, this was followed by an Old-Fashioned Saturday Night on Freeman’s Main Street, with a theatrical re-creation of the historic robbery of First National Bank.
